Feel - Gelback Technology
The CG Gold is an all-ability iron perfect for the player who wants to maximize forgiveness while still maintaining a solid feel in a traditional head design. Gelback, Cleveland Golf's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material, is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface in the back cavity. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.
Forgiveness - Micro-Cavity Technology
Next generation Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) provides better stability and more forgiveness by removing weight from the topline and redistributing it to the extreme perimeters of the clubhead. By redistributing 10 grams low and deep, the center of gravity is improved by 15%, adding stability to off-center hits. This translates into a larger sweet spot for more consistent and accurate shots.
Fit - Color-Coded Hosel Markings
Correctly fitting a set of irons to the player is essential for optimal performance. The set may be further dialed-in using color-coded hosel markings that denote if the lie angle is flat, standard or upright.
