Its machined face and grooves combine with a compact, tear-drop head shape to improve control from any lie. A tungsten toe weight and small Custom Tuning Port increase the moment-of-inertia for forgiveness while enhancing club head feel.
Multiple loft/bounce combinations allow you to match a Tour-W wedge to your game and playing conditions. Tungsten Toe Weight and Deep CTP
The small, tear-drop-shaped head's high inertia results from a dense, tungsten toe weight and small cavity design. A deep tuning port positions the center of gravity low and farther forward to provide proper club head rotation.

Ping irons can be custom fit to different Color Codes (lie angles) to fit golfers of varying sizes, swing tendencies and ball-flight preferences. There ar 10 different Color Codes, ranging from five degrees upright (Maroon Color Code) to four degrees flat (Gold Color Code). Contact your PING Authorized Club Fitter to assist you in establishing your Color Code.
The Importance of Color Code (Lie Angle)
Establishing the most effective Color Code is very important as it can impact direction. Clubs that are too upright may cause a golfer to draw, hook or pull the ball; while clubs that are too flat may cause the golfer to fade, slice or push the ball. B Grind: This grind removes
material from the back of the sole, which narrows its width. This makes
the lower to the ground, making it easier to gt under the ball when the
golfer opens the face of the club.
Bounce Grind: This grind reduces the overall angle/bounce of the club, which works best for golfers playing in firm turf conditions.
H Grind: This grind removes material from the heel of the club, which allows the golfer that lowers his hands to have less bounce on that portion of the sole without sacrificing playability.
T Grind: This grind combines the B & H grinds, giving the golfer who plays finesse shots a very versatile wedge.
TS Grind: This grind combines the T & Bounce grinds, which works best for the golfer playing on firm turf conditions or has a very shallow angle of attack.
