MATERIALS TECHNOLOGY
We offer a mix of frame materials, including UltraFlex TR-90, Polyamide and Rilsan® to meet the demands of any challenge. Our frame designs reflect excellent style choice in open bottom, closed bottom and floating formats.
LENS TECHNOLOGY
Vision protection is at the heart of everything we do. All Sundog lens technology block 100% of Ultra Violet rays, UVA, UVB and UVC. UV rays carry more energy than visible light rays, so the eye and surrounding skin are at greater risk of damage from exposure to UV radiation than other kinds of light. UV rays can cause, or advance progress of several eye diseases, and UVB rays have also been related to skin cancer. Over exposure to ultraviolet radiation, can damage the front portion of the eye. UV radiation sensitivity varies from person to person with most damage caused by UVB and UVA rays occurring over extended time periods and it is irreversible. Sundog eyewear protects your eyes against damage from UV rays, blue light and bright light, so the importance of wearing protection cannot be overstated.
Many of our glasses feature lightweight GPS Direct Centered premium Polycarbonate lenses to maximize viewing comfort and protection. All our GPS polycarbonate lenses offer superior strength, scratch and shatter resistance. The result is carefree optically correct distortion-free viewing.
CRISTEC Polarized
Cristec is a premium enhanced polarization technology where the polycarbonate is injected into the mold with the polarized film, creating a precision cut one-piece lens with world-class performance. CRISTEC technology offers superior clarity, minimal glare, shatterproof, distortion free lenses that offer superior spherical, astigmatic, and prismatic qualities. They provide superior UV400 filtering power, with outstanding impact resistance (120 to 300fps), have enhanced scratch resistance (Bayer Ratio of 3.5), and deliver a high polarizing effect of 99.7%. All Cristec lenses are EN1836, ANS Z 80.3 and AS/NZS 1067 and CND Z94.5 compliant.
The Element Protection coating increases abrasion resistance and lens integrity. The result is a polarized triacetate cellulose technology lens providing unequalled performance for its price in accordance with major global standards.
