Craig Wood Teaching Professional

Craig's teaching philosophy is "keep it simple." He blends feel and mechanics with strategy in a way that allows the player to see results immediately. More importantly, the results can be easily repeated and improved upon over time. His long and short game strategies are easy to learn and are valuable for these with and without handicaps. Mr. Wood also has extensive experience in club fitting and maximizing the use of current technology to improve consistency and reduce your scores.

In addition to working in the golf industry, Craig has given back to the local community. In 2003, he coached the Luther Burbank Height Schools girls golf team, a chance to teach kids with no exposure to the game whatsoever. He also coached the McClatchy High Schools Girls team to the Metro League Championship in 2004.

Robert Hamilton Teaching Professional

Local golf star, Robert Hamilton, has joined the teaching staff at the Bing Maloney Golf Course. Robert was a phenomenal amateur golfer who won the California State Fair Golf Championship in both 2000 and 2001, was runner-up in the 2001 US Amateur and was the number one ranked amateur in the country. After turning professional in 2002, he has played in a number of PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour events as well as has been a full-time member of the Canadian Tour. Robert will be a teaching professional, giving lessons to golfers of all abilities, while he still plays some professional tour golf.
